Psalm 30
Verses 4-5
Sing praises to the LORD, O you his faithful ones, and give thanks to his holy name. For his anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may linger for the night but joy comes in the morning. NRSV
The scriptures say that our whole duty as human beings is to serve God and keep His commandment. All we are required to do is to be faithful. The scriptures admonish us to stay committed. If however, we become apostates, He is willing to forgive us if we return to Him. God does not stay angry long. His love for us is everlasting. Today is a new day, a beautiful day, and one which we have never seen before. Let us thank God for His many blessings, stay faithful and trust God for all that is to come. While there is life, there is hope!
